(This is the full Tour from which the optional Extension Tour addition to the Long Tan Trek Tour of 2010 was developed. For the 10-day/9-night optional extension to the Long Tan Trek Tour, please see the full itinerary downloadable from the Long Tan Trek webpage of this site.) Under development is a 15-day to 18-day (tba) tour (leave Australia on a Saturday, arrive back Sunday fortnight or a few days later) which will either visit or have presentations on the 12 decisive battles / battlefields that determined the outcomes of the three Indo-China Wars. This combined tour would include the 4-hour ("real time") walk of the Long Tan battlefield as offered in the Long Tan Trek Tours. Dates to be advised. But as well as these open tours, there will be...
TAILORED GROUP TOURS. For example - in the first week of December, 2013, 34 Army Cadets and their officers will do the Long Tan Trek Tour, visiting the major significant sites of the ANZAC's Vietnam War. Once the size, date, duration and desired hotel-quality is known, a tour cost is generated and the tour opened to bookings. In order to help our planning and your organisation: <--- Here's a 2-page downloadable flyer to explain it all. Of course, the 2-week tour may be too long for some. The tour may be broken into two separate 1-week Tours, but if both were taken, they would require two separate return flights to Viet Nam. There is a small charity element built into the tour, half of which would be directed to the group's specified charity and the other half to the AVVRG (http://avvrg.org.au) for the maintenance of the Long Tan cross. School Groups - been to Kokoda enough? Perhaps you'd like to think of Viet Nam as a suitable alternative? Here's an opportunity for groups of like-minded travellers to have a tour tailored for your specific needs. You only need 32 to 42 travellers. If this type of tour is of interest, please use the "Contact Us" page of this website to contact Dave for discussions. As more details become available, this website will be updated. These Tailored Group tours are now available. |
